Beautiful, upstate New York, small town Cape Vincent is a place where everybody knows one another. When famous retired hockey player Mikko Helle buys a waterfront house and completely renovates it, he hires Nicole Durham, a local woman, to clean before he moves in. She finds a young woman secretly living inside the house, then the police investigate and discover the remains of another young woman in the basement.
